Claire has interned as a veterinary assistant at Healing Springs since 2008. Healing Springs often takes time to orient, educate, and even provide internships for young people aspiring to a career in veterinary medicine. With more than four years now under her belt, Claire is one of the high school students / undergrad students who has shown admirable dedication to internship at Healing Springs. She is an exceptional youth, and it has been our privilege to work with her.

Claire's personal menagerie has included calves, horses, goats, chickens, dogs, cats, mice, and snakes. Claire is the only person in Healing Springs history to have Healing Springs board a snake - a corn snake to be exact.
With more than 500 hours of community service to her credit, Claire embodies the spirit of volunteerism. She has volunteered at Peaceful Heart Alpacas, Edisto Island Serpentarium, Dogwood Farm Sport Horses, Blue Ridge Discovery Center, her local libraries, and more. Claire is a member of Grayson LandCare, Glenwood United Methodist Church, and the Homeschool Book Club. Claire enjoys learning about companion animals and all their various illnesses and treatments at Healing Springs. Claire is from Fries, VA.
